Perhaps shifting a bit uncomfortably. It's possible that a dragon burned a hole in his last pair of boxers. Have you ever tried to wear a pair of boxers with a hole burned in them? It's really not very comfortable at all.

But he's happy nonetheless. And perhaps messing about with the shiny thing on his right hand.Right

*She doesn't sit just yet. Sipping her coffee, she looks around.*

*Adam takes the cider gratefully and sticks his tongue out at her.*

*She tousles his hair and immediately smoothes it back into place with a distracted air.*

Oh, nothing. I did a bit of healing earlier. *Shaking herself, she smiles down at him.* You're not going to believe what I found a while ago.

Oh? What happened?

*He grabs her hand and kisses her fingers.*

"You get ants in your pants, lad?" And now there's a Shang Dragon sitting across from him.

*Is that a huff? Couldn't be. Antichrists don't huff.*

[shang_dragon]

"Is this one of those things I shouldn't press lest I prepare to hear disgustingly intimate details of your and Alanna's time together?"

[last_adam]

Ask her. It's her dragon.

*He doesn't look too pleased about this.*

"Whuddaya know, Joe?"

Look to your left. Look to your right. Paul also looks pleased, or possibly just intentionally confusing.

*Adam? Stares. A lot.

And then his voice squeaks. Not really. He's talking. That squeak is just a figment of your imagination, probably.*

Paul thinks about that. Too hard.

"Yes," he decides. He places a finger on his lips and hushes.

"Don't tell."

He's all smiles, which, generally, isn't great for living things.

*Adam can't really say he likes the look of that smile.

Or maybe it's that he likes it too much.

Either way, he's uncomfortable.*

*That squeak doesn't really ever go away, does it?

Raven is distracted by the shiny.

Really, that's the only reason his gaze is fixed on the ring on Adam's hand.

Then he meets Adam's eyes, grinning.

"It is very pretty, I think. New?"

*Adam nods.*

Christmas present.

*He smiles. Grins, really.*

I like it.

Raven ruffles his hair.

"I am glad it fits you so."

*He runs his thumb along it once more, smiling brightly.*

How did you spend the day, yesterday? I assume you don't celebrate.

Fina is not quite as adept at spotting shiny things as Raven. So it takes her a few moments after she sits down, shedding a scarf, to notice it.

"Hey."

*That grin is an ongoing theme of the night. Get it?*

She eyes it suspiciously, though it does get a smile in return.

"You're very cheerful."

[last_adam]

*Adam tilts his head.*

Is there a law against cheerful?
