With work done for the day, and Thirteen looking to unwind, the young doctor finds herself in Milliways this evening.

So, armed with a book and a plate of fried paradoxes, she takes up residence in one of the Bar's many couches and alternates between reading, and people-watching as she lounges.

Botherable.

"Not too bad thanks. Fry's making quite an impression at his new school, but he's not got into trouble yet per se."

Guppy sits down.

"Also, I, um, kind of have some sort of rash running up my arm. Which I don't recognise, and the scanner didn't either, other than to tell me to put mayonnaise on it. Which for some reason seems to be helping..."

"That's a little troubling," she says with a frown.

Beat.

"Wait, did you say mayonnaise? As in the condiment?"

"Yeah... it's also a little sticky." Guppy says, showing her.

On closer examination, there are bright red spots, and it doesn't look like the rash is still only confined to his arm...

Remy leans to look, but doesn't touch, frowning as she notices the spread from what he's mentioned.

"Looks like it's kept going there."

"Shit!" Guppy looks alarmed, and peers inside his shirt without taking it off.

Blink.

Blink.

"I also seem to have gained some, er, chest hair."

"You hairy beast you," she deadpans, but can't help the grin that appears at his uncharacteristic swearing.

"I-I'm normally very unhairy. One time when I went on the beach, Fran drew it on with mascara."

Guppy looks quite alarmed.

"Do you have any idea what this is? I don't know if it's relevant but I cut my finger on something yesterday."

That story doesn't do anything to dispel the woman's grin, or the faint chuckling.

"Haven't a clue to be honest. I haven't heard anything. Spontaneous lycanthropy?"

"I don't think it was a werewolf. It's too small and I think if I'd been bitten by one I'd notice...

Oh no, what if it's... a very tiny werewolf?!"

This provides to be a bit too much, and Remy can only lift a hand to cover her mouth as she laughs outright.

"Like...a pygmy werewolf?"

"I... I don't know." Guppy puts his head in the hand without the rash. She might think it's funny, but it's not at all funny as far as he's concerned, and he's starting to panic.

"I can't be a werewolf. What if I have to work nights on the full moon? I can't exactly phone in hairy once a month."

It takes another moment to compose herself, but once she does, she reaches to pat his back gently.

"Guppy," she says gently, still smiling some. "It wasn't a full moon last night."

Guppy looks up again. Oops. He goes a little red, embarrassed.

"That still means I have some sort of unknown illness. I don't want to infect you, but what should I do?"

"Keep an eye on it, I'd imagine," she says. "And if it gets bad, and you notice other people getting sick, quarantine might do, like when that flu rolls around."

Guppy nods, starting to calm a little.

"Maybe it's just an odd sort of allergy. I get allergies sometimes."

Deep breath. "If you see anyone with similar symptoms, can you let me know?"

"Sure," she says agreeably, then teases. "Done freaking out?"
