“Who Ya Gonna Call?”
Kat was humming the Ghostbusters theme when it all started. It was stuck in her head and she’d decided to listen to it on repeat-one in an attempt to make herself so tired of it that it would become unstuck.
The Ghostbusters theme, however, is a rather stubborn catchy song, so it wasn’t working.
Meh, at least it’s better than “Bad Touch”, Kat told herself as she started singing the song rather than just humming it.
At her latest belting of “Who ya gonna call?”, however, her Three Wise Buddhas statue apparently decided to throw itself at her head. It struck home and bounced onto her cushy sofa.
“Ow! What the-?!” She stared at the thing, arching an eyebrow, then shrugged and began singing again, this time dancing in place a bit.
Then her Yellow Labrador Retriever statue threw itself at her. She barely dodged it.
“What the fuck?!” She shouted, staring around the main area of the flat. When nothing revealed itself to her, she sighed and went back to singing.
“Katherine, you’d better knock it off,” Ryou’s voice said. She jumped, seeing her head muse seated on the couch beside her.
“What? Why?”
“I think you’ve got a gho-Oooh, you were right, this couch is comfy!”
“I know, isn’t it?” Kat grinned. “Uh, anyway, what were you gonna say?”
“Oh, right. I think there’s a ghost in here.”
A cackling laugh sounded and something started clapping Kat’s remote controls together. A tiny bead of sweat made itself known at the base of Kat’s skull.
“Great,” she muttered. “First the Neighbours From Hell, then the Ants, and now the place is haunted.” She rolled her eyes as the ghost started playing with her Jade Cat.
“It appears to hate the Ghostbusters theme,” Ryou noted. At these words, the ghost threw the Jade Cat at hir. Ryou caught the statuette before it hit hir.
Kat sighed and picked up her cell phone, dialing 411. Quietly, she asked for an operator, then asked, “Is there a local chapter of the Ghostbusters?”
“…Are you pulling my chain, lady?” The operator drawled.
Kat grimaced as she watched the ghost start pulling drawings off of the Wall of Shiny. “No. No I’m not.”
“Lady, the Ghostbusters are fictional. They’re not real.” The operator promptly hung up.
“Well, it was worth a shot,” Kat sighed.
“How do we get rid of it, then?” Ryou inquired.
Kat grinned at him. “Bring out the Muses.”

First Espy tried to Psychically disrupt the ghost, but it just laughed and threw her into a barstool.
Then the chibiHordes (all three) tried to tie it up. They all ran into each other and the ghost laughed again.
Then Shinnouhi-sama tried to Firebend it. He only scorched Kat’s bedroom door.
Then ChimeraBoi Ra Tilted it, but missed because he couldn’t see it.
A vein on Kat’s forehead twitched as she watched her muses fail to get rid of the spectre. “Where the fuck is Tozo? He could get rid of this thing with no problem…” She wondered.
Grim stepped forward, brandishing his scythe with a smirk. “Allow me.” He raised the scythe and brought it down on a specific point in the air. The ghost screamed and vanished in a puff of green smoke.
“Now why didn’t we think of that sooner?” Kat muttered.
Abruptly, the screaming returned, and Tozo materialized in another flash of green and landed butt-first on the floor.
“Tozo?!” The group exclaimed.
“YOU were the ghost?” Kat shouted.
Tozo grinned. “What can I say? I really hate the Ghostbusters theme.”
The rest of the muses swarmed down on him and started beating the crap out of him. Kat smacked her forehead.
“And here I thought the flat was actually haunted…”
