I'm all for Femslash but in this case it doesn't really add anything to the story. Its just kind of there. The romatic elements of the relationship didn't seem real. I think it would have been the same or even better if this was based on friendship instead of this bland and out of place slash.

If you must have Cassie rescued by a romantic interest instead of a friend then what is wrong with Vision?

Other than that good story.

I think that was kinda the point. Lesbians are just any other couple, except when DC is masturbating about the fact they have two in their comics. If you wanted something to beat your meat to, it's called pornography. They make plenty with lesbians; my sister's got a 500GB external drive practically full of it.

Thats not my point at all. Thier was no chemistry between the two characters.I didn't want to "beat my meat" I wanted to read about Kate and Cassie as a couple. As in two people who care about eachother as more than friends. It just didn't click. Weather it is M/M F/F or M/F thier has to be chemistry. I did not believe for one moment that Cassie and Kate were anything more than close friends until the awkward out of place kiss at the end.

I will repeat myself I did not want porn. If I want porn I can get it. I am aware of the differnce between romance and porn. This was niether. It was just freindship to me.

But the femslash ellement in this story was awkward out of place.

Please read my post more carefully this time.

Some very haunting imagery there, but I like how you handled the difficult topics.

And Cassie's words to her dad at the end were so lovely and heartfelt. Great job with this! =)

Thanks. It's my first time working with heavy subject matter like this, so I'm glad it went off well among my friends list. :)

In every single one of his appearances, he gets worse and worse. It seems like only a matter of time to me.

I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for reviewing!

Lovely. Absolutely lovely. Never mind that this could have passed for a gen piece; it was utterly beautiful. Yay for Cassie/Kate! Three cheers!

I think it's more than a bit ironic that Scott died and Peggy ended up with Blake, who *didn't* try to get help for his problems. Also, extremely sad. And Cassie should be able to move into the Avengers mansion with Teddy; not that she doesn't belong with Kate, just that the Avengers should be watching out for their 'niece'.

They really should. I tell you, I don't know the last time a comic actually made me angry like Young Avengers Presents #5 did. Anyone can tell he's got a hair-trigger temper and is taking it out on his stepdaughter. Her mother isn't stepping in, the Avengers aren't stepping in. Sure, she's more than capable of stepping on his sorry ass herself, but she shouldn't have to!

Thanks for reading. I noticed you were a YA fan. I snagged the icon from you, in fact. :)
