Yeah, even today it's one of my favorite movies. It's just such a hilarious spoof on all the Greek myths out there. And even though they made Hades evil, the whole personality they gave him really made up for it. Now I want to watch it again. :B

Top Five reasons I love the Escaflowne series:
1. The characters. I really don't think there's a single one I dislike, and the ones I disliked at first I ended up liking in the end. They all get an equal amount of spotlight making them all interesting--this includes the minor characters.
2. The great balance between just about every genre in existance. Not once does the mix feel over the top or out of place--rather, it adds appeal to the setting.
3. The music. Need soundtrack badly.
4. The ending. I don't tend to like a whole lot of anime or manga endings due to how rushed or sappy they can be, but the ending Escaflowne had was just perfect. It was happy without being too perfect and slightly sad without being too depressing

Yeah, I heard about that. xD It ranks up there with the naked lady from The Rescuers as one of the most hilarious subliminal images that Disney's left in their films

Agreed on Marmalade Boy (haven't seen those other four yet). I read the whole manga series and it was one, boring, sappy mess. The parents really pissed me off, too.
