I have a friend from Lubbock! I'm sure I'll love it because of the geography. I can handle hot. I'm used to it from Louisiana anyways. I'm just so glad to get out of this place haha.

thats awesome! :) i love lubbock so much. ill going back in november for a month. im excited. you sound like you'll like it very much. its probably just me but i find something intriguing about texas. its probably just family and friends i have there. :) i miss home now. rawr japan.

I haven't been there, my ex friend was stationed there. She said it's small, not a ton of people, and housing = trailers. It gets super hot. *shrug* I'd like to go visit, just to say i've been there.

I'm at Fort Hood now.

I've heard that it's small which is weird since it's one of the largest army installations in the entire army (but it's all training grounds).

my boyfriend got orders to get stationed there at the middle of August. I've been searching for info on it online and everyone pretty much has awful reviews on it :( but i guess we'll see!

I've found mostly positives actually so I'm pretty hopeful. Fort Polk is the worst Army base - infamously known - so anything would be better than here. hehe.

haha well that's good! most of the reviews i've found were bitter and angry. update us on how you like it when you get there!! i'm very curious

The assignment ended up going to someone else who was re-enlisting for it. *sigh* I had my heart set on it too.
