We got all of our paperwork done in a matter of about 4 hours. As soon as you get the tricare paperwork you can go to the doctor, afaik.

That's about how long it took us. I got my ID and my Tricare paperwork done in the same day.

Once you enroll in Tricare, you should be covered on the first of the next month. Sommmething like that - I'd call your tricare office.

when i went off my parents insurance after i graduated but it wasn't until my work's insurance kicked in which took a number of months, durring this time i was covered under my parents insurance but it cost them much more per month. COBRA coverage i believe.

If you still haven't filed your marriage license go in and be seen with your parent's insurance. Don't even mention the marriage. And then get all enrolled with Tricare when you had planned on it!
