Main House Front Porch, Wednesday Evening

Jul 01, 2009 18:58

Karla had adapted quickly to some aspects of this world -- the clothing, for one thing. Much of it wasn't too terribly different from some of the things she'd worn back home. Which was why she was out on the front porch barefoot, in jeans and a t-shirt, happily slouched down as she paged through a book from home.

Connor, Lugh the Vampire Bunny perched on his shoulder, was out for a walk. He couldn't resist the urge to stroll by his old dorm building. He found himself feeling nostalgic for his days as a student here.

Which was weird considering.

Karla looked up, noticing the bunny warily. "I don't think rabbits generally go on your shoulder," she commented dryly.

"Lugh is a very unusual rabbit." Connor agreed.

"So I see. Does he actually enjoy it up there?"

Jaenelle came in from the woods where she had been communing with the land and trying to get a feel for things here. She was dressed in black jeans and a long black button-up shirt.

She sat down gracefully on the steps and started picking bits of tree out of her hair.

"You were climbing trees again, weren't you?" Karla guessed, barely glancing up from her book.

"Mm," Jaenelle nodded, still pulling twigs out of her hair. "I can see better up there."

Karla just shrugged; a moment later, the remaining twigs were falling out of Jaenelle's hair. It was a useful bit of Craft they'd both picked up not long after they first met.

"See anything interesting?"
