Student Center [Monday Afternoon]

Jun 29, 2009 14:30

In her quest to get more comfortable in her new enviroment, Dawn was hanging out in the student center today. She was curled up on one of the large sofas writing letters back home.

There was some cheesy soap opera on the television, but she wasn't actually paying attention.

Mary wandered in and glanced at the TV, where a couple were making out in typical soap opera fashion. "I still can't get used to that," she said idly. "Back home they never allowed that on TV. Even if people were married they slept in separate beds."

Dawn glanced up, first at the TV and then at her roommate. "Wow, how did they ever have kids?"

"It was just one of those things you weren't supposed to talk about," Mary said with a shrug. "I think they wanted kids to believe that babies came from storks or something. I'm not sure if it would be nice or terrible to be that innocent."

"Hmmm, yeah, I'm not sure either," Dawn said. "It might be nice, but I'm guessing that real life would end up being a much bigger shock then."

Yuffie was exploring a bit more today. The Student Center seemed like it might promise results.

And hey, there was a television. "What is this?" she asked as she stared at the show.

"It's worse than those silly dramas back home," Yuffie said as she sat down. Of course, she wasn't looking away because was that guy really say he just got married to his mom's former step-mother?

"Oh? Where are you from?" Dawn asked.
