The Park - Tuesday Evening

Veronica and Lilly were on the swings in the park.

"Mommy, do I get to be in the wedding?"

"Yes, Lilly."

"Can I wear a pretty princess dress?"

"Sure."

"And a tiara?"

"Maybe."

"And glass slippers?"

"They aren't very practical."

And on and on it went.

Once again Cam had been sent away so the rest of the family could get settled in the new house. Which actually meant that he had been ordered to take his sister to the park before his parents went completely insane.

Molly Mitchell, being the sociable being she was, bolted away from her brother's side the second she saw another little girl on the swings.

"Hi!" she chirped, in all her four-year-old enthusiasm.

Cameron just rolled his eyes and jogged to catch up.

"HI!" Lilly replied, thrilled to see another child in town.

Veronica chuckled. "Hi, you guys must be new in town."

"Yeah," Cameron answered, catching Molly around the waist and boosting her up to sit on one of the swings with a grin. "We just moved out here the other day."

"From South Carolina," Molly helpfully added, saying the state carefully.

"I used to live in California!" Lilly shared.

"I'm Veronica," her mother said. "And this is Lilly. Welcome to Milieux."

Logan was out for a walk and spotted Veronica and Lilly talking to a couple of people he didn't recognize. "Hey," he said.

"UNCLE LOGAN!!!!!" Lilly squealed, running over and tackling him around the legs. "Mommy and Daddy are getting married!"

Logan let her tackle knock him over. "Hi Lilly!" he said, sprawled on the ground.

Veronica laughed. "Hey, Logan," she said, waiting for the rest of Lilly's statement to catch up with him.
