It had been far too long since Souji had turned his mind from goofing around back to his responsibilities as a samurai. Sure, there was no reason to let that very dangerous side of himself show here in town, but when he made it home--and in his mind it was when, not if--it would do him no good to be out of practice. Souji judiciously decided to use Cassie's appearance as an excuse to take a break. Propping the sword against one shoulder, he wiped a sleeve across his forehead before waving. "Hello!"

Sam was out running. After getting Dean's call yesterday, he had spent a few hours hitting the books, with no luck. He wanted to call Bobby to ask a few questions, but he wasn't sure if Dean would mind, so he was holding off.

In the meantime, he was out running again, determined to get back into better shape so he might have a chance of kicking his brother's ass.

He slowed and started running in place when he spotted the guy in the park with the practice sword. Sword fighting was something that had always intrigued him, but seemed impractical.

Souji paused what he was doing when he spotted Sam and gave him a friendly wave hello.

Souji rested the tip of the weapon on the ground and leaned on it a little. "I've been training since I was nine," he replied. "So, I suppose so, yes."
