The Master was doing calculations by the side of the pond, across the path from the TARDIS, on a yellow notepad.

Something had him in deep concentration. And it didn't seem as though he liked it.

"The math doesn't quite add up," the Master said, tapping the pad. "I've seen this work, so it should... oh, wait a minute." He scribbled on the pad and stood up, turning around. "Forgot Omega's coefficient in the paradox equation. How are you?"

The Master tilted his head to the side. "Reworking the very understanding of paradox and causality," he said.
