Rodney McKay was building something, out of one of his computers and his science fair project. There was metal bits and circuit boards strewn about. Yes, he could have done this inside, but he also knew he might generate a little smoke if anything went wrong, so he was playing it safe

Millie wandered by and stopped to watch the goings on curiously. "Hello, Rodney? What are you doing?"

"I'm building a robot," Rodney said, even though he wasn't totally sure how to do that.

Her eyes went wide. "Goodness... Um... What is a robot?"

"It's a mechanism designed to do a task," Rodney said. "But fully automated."
