At the moment, Nanny was in the kitchen and the smells wafting from the kitchen were a mixture of mouth-watering and stomach-turning. As will happen when a witch is cooking both lunch and brewing up what will be an extremely effective liniment.
She bustled around, impressed by the stove, cold box, and oooooh running water. (The first person to explain the dishwasher and microwave to her gets a prize.)
How had she discovered these things? By pushing, poking, prodding, touching, and turning everything she could get her hands on, of course.
