The Park, Tuesday afternoon

There it stood, a mysterious blue box, in a place where it had no right to stand. Lonely, quiet, and utterly alien. Nothing there at all to make an impact.

Then speakers crackled into life and Rogue Traders began to play through the park.

It was difficult to tell if this made the box more or less mysterious and strange.

A blue box had invaded her territory, or at least the part of town she spent hiding at for most of her time here. X-23 had been carefully approaching the blue box while keeping all her senses alert for any sign of it being a trap.

When the speakers suddenly blared, she let out an animal-like snarl, looking around angrily for whoever was the culprit.

The Master poked his head out to see the girl snarling. "Can I help you?"

X-23 quickly stopped her snarling, standing like a proper human being again and regarding the person with curiosity. She tilted her head to the side and narrowed her eyes in slight suspicion.

"Don't pretend you can't understand me," the Master said. "The translation circuits in the TARDIS aren't broken." He took a step out further and regarded her with some interest.
