The Park, Friday night

Meg was on her back, laying on a gazebo bench and staring out over through the slats in the wood at the night sky. She didn't feel like being indoors despite the chill in the air. She simply wrapped herself up in a sweater and calmly, and quietly walked on out to the park, settling herself on her favorite bench to lay down.

Jack was simply out for a nice evening walk.

He was definitely not out trolling the park in hopes of running into any batshit insane demons.

Just out for a stroll.

Spying the young lady, Jack frowned a little worriedly but then easily replaced the expression with a lazy sort of smile as he walked over towards her.

"Pity that such a pretty lady is out alone."

One arm folded neatly into the small of his back, Jack held his other hand out towards her in a very old fashion manner, looking quite like a solider asking his sweetheart for a dance.

"Come on, let's hit Der Waffle Haus and show each other off. It's not glamorous I know, but I know where it is and the food is pretty good."

And it's not sitting out here on a park bench alone at night with a fireball tossing lunatic running around.

Taking his hand, she came to her feet with a little bounce. "I've never been there but I was supposed to meet a girl there one night on the roof. She was going to do away with my--" Ooooh, not a good topic choice. "-- uh, do they make good waffles?"

If Jack noticed -and he did- he let it go for the time being and instead neatly tucked her hand into the crook of his elbow to give her a proper escort.

"They make wonderful waffles," he promised with a grin.

Picking up a harmless bit of chatter about the weather and asking her about school, he began to lead her towards the restaurant.
