Cuddy knew there were patients occupying some of the exam rooms, so she was there early today.

Every now and then, she went to check on the patients.

Mac was unfortunately getting used to finding that Cally hadn't come home at night. Well, used wasn't quite the word, maybe. She was certainly worried.

What Mac had learned over the years, was that the first place to check if she didn't know where to find her girlfriend, was wherever you could get medical attention.

She gave Cuddy a not particularly enthusiastic smile. "You haven't had a Cally Henderson in, have you?"

Cuddy looked up at the girl who had arrived and could tell she was worried.

"A Cally Henderson was brought in yesterday," she confirmed. Gently, she said, "Mind if I ask who you are?"

That was rather the response Mac had been afraid of.

That vague smile from before, definitely not there anymore. "I'm her girlfriend... Is she alright?"

Marie was mostly awake. The nurses had brought her their idea of breakfast, which she was picking at.

She would probably be glad to have visitors to distract her.

Aziraphale had been handwavily informed that he wasn't leaving the house until he stopped being growly and breaking things, so he wasn't able to visit Marie in person.

However, at some point in the morning, a tray with a pot of fragrant tea and a cup and saucer appeared on her bedside table.
