A kinda "I don't understand people" rant.

This started back when I was first knew that Alisa is ill and was looking into what good vets we have close to my home. That's when I found that there is an animal protection organization in Omsk. It is a group of volunteers, as official animal policy seems to be that bullets (or euthanasia) are cheaper than building animal shelter. So helping

For now there is temporary solution set up. About 10 cats were moved to other people - some even to permanent homes - and there is a daily duty set up to watch over those left. And there was a News crew over there today, that should kick-start social services into paying attention.

As for me... I'm sure that I won't be able to keep from getting a cat in the future. But I doubt it will be a furry stray - probably a brush variety of a Don Sphynx or one of the Rex ones. It is light fur that irritates my skin worst, so I think I will be safe around them.
