I am so sorry for your loss, Richard. This is a beautiful eulogy; I read it with tears as it echoes some of the feelings I experienced recently on discovering the death of somebody who meant a great deal to me, a whole year after they had passed away. Though by the end we were little more than strangers, it never changed - and never will change - how I felt about them and how much having them in my life meant to me.

Your words on mental illness ring all so true, of course. I will be donating to the Samaritans this Christmas, the equivalent of AFSP here in England.

Wishing you the best,
A.

I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I had better words.

Your words are beautiful and perfect, a fitting way to remember someone you (and many other people) cared deeply about.
