It seems that we have to think about how to make comic books appeal to book readers. Occasionally they'll read a comic book like "Maus" or "Persepolis", but only if it has a lot of critical and popular acclaim. I just don't know how to inspire them to get into graphic novels. People just don't consider them or understand their broad range of themes. I think a first step could be to get libraries to organize them differently. No one's going to find them when they're hiding back in 741.5. They need their own section separate from their strange place as fiction within non-fiction.
