Yeah, Warhol was pretty wacky. I liked it when he said on tv that allogations that his work was crap were completely true.

oh, he's one of my heroes. his quirkiness was amazing.

I was never sure that he was an artist, in the strictest sense of the word, but he definitely was quirky. Possibly one of the most random people ever.

For the most part I couldn't stand the guy's work, but I was always compelled to look at it or for it.

But yeah, I found myself looking at his works and work inspired by him.

Warhol was a provocateur, not just in subject matter, but also in the tolerance of a art world so desperatly waiting for someone to break the rules in a big way. The man could draw...he knew how to take pictures and make prints, and make litographs,...he was a great illustrator, and knew how to tell people what to do and what to look at...

I say that is an artist....In the strictest sense.

ha ha, should have made myself more clear- that quote was by Barbara Kruger, who is the artist of all these pieces here. She spoke at the Institute a few years back. She was often hailed as the female Warhol. I'm pretty sure I don't need to be telling you who she is, ha ha ha!

Warhol has always been, and probably always will be a hero of mine. He is art itself to me- his life, his work, what he says.
