Oh my gosh this was so good. I felt so bad for Annie in this, and I loved how you explored the similar parent issues she and Jeff have. I also liked all the interactions between the study group, especially Jeff and Annie. It was perfect.

Aww, thank you so much. I always worry about writing all the group members because I'm afraid I'm going to get them wrong. I'm glad you enjoyed it. <3

This almost seemed like separate fics blended together; Annie and the group celebrating Hanukkah and Annie dealing with her feelings after her mom's stroke. But either way it was very good. Liked the authenticity that was brought with the traditions and customs of Hanukkah. Not sure if it came from personal experience or from thorough research, but either way you seemed to know your stuff through your writing. And you really captured the pain and rage Annie felt towards her mom. Just because a family member is sick does;t mean we can simply put aside all the bad things they have done to us, and you captured that perfectly. Bravo.

I, myself, am not a practitioner of the religion, but my grandpa is Jewish. So I grew up celebrating the holidays and learning the traditions. I'm glad my depiction rang true for you. Thanks for reading!

I really enjoyed this. I thought you did a great job of showing Annie's conflict, and also Jeff's desire to help, but not knowing entirely what to do without pushing too far.
