In Jeff's office he has the "Jeff Winger Professor of Law" name plate pushed to the back table and the one on his desk says "Next Window Please". Classic Winger.

I can't lie. Every time Keith David opened his mouth, I basically cackled. Holy crap, what a great addition!

I'm a lot more iffy about Paget Brewster, I'm sorry to say. She seemed just kind of there. I suppose she has value in that she'll be the audience stand-in for reacting to the weirdness that is Greendale, so there's value in that.

And yet another actor who's worked with Alison Brie on a movie makes an appearance! Jason Mantzoukas (aka Dennis Feinstein from Parks and Recs) worked with Alison on Sleeping with Other People. I know she convinced Martin Starr to come onto Community for a guest bit, so I'm wondering if the same thing happened here. Still, awesome ( ... )

I mean the trailer's are just to get fans hyped, and it did that for me. I still can't help but notice there is an awful lot of Frankie(Paget's new character), I hope they still focus more on the greendale seven four. Keith David's charater seems hilarious and I'm so excited to see more of him. Overall, I'm gonna try and not read into the trailer too much cause it's basically a compilation of "epic"/funny moments.

Yeah not sure what to think of Paget's character yet. I mean nothing against her, I've seen pretty much all of Criminal Minds, but it seems....idk, an uninspired casting choice, at least. Hey guys, here's another attractive white female. What about a Hispanic actress? Or Indian? Or Asian? What about an openly homosexual female character? I'm just rambling really, but seems as though the cast is getting less diverse as time goes on. But anyway, not really certain what her exact role is going to be, but nothing in this promo makes her stand out for me.....

I totally forgot that Mantzoukas was even on P&R.... And even though I see him popping up here and there, I just always think of him as Rafi, as that was my first exposure to him.

I'm sure folks will be trying to parce out and decipher every little nugget, but I really don't think the promo gives much if anything away, story wise. There aren't even any really great one-liners in it, although so much of Community's humor is contextual, so in a vacuum it can be difficult to spot at

Oh, c'mon. Every line that came out of Keith David's mouth had me laughing. A lot.

So did Annie's frustrated, "These are not hard questions!" It's not the line. It's the delivery.

Plus the revelation that Jeff fanboys astronauts.

I kind of want to know why everyone except Annie is drinking booze during the day on campus, though.

Well, guys, I'm just excited we're getting season six. I'm a little bummed that it looks like they're "keeping the weird" because I miss the character based stories from season 2, but I'm ready for more of whatever it is they want to give us.

And dear god please, if they don't give us J/A, just don't subject us to J/B.

This has been discussed here quite a bit, but I highly, HIGHLY doubt that they will ever return to J/B. I just feel, as I think most people do, that that ship has been definitively sunk in Basic Sandwich. I have no clue if we're getting Jeff and Annie but I feel safe in saying we will not be getting anymore Jeff with Britta.....not saying no J/B stories together or team-ups, but no more ship.

And as an addendum to my prior response, there is some (more) talk going about on a reddit thread that Frankie might be a new love interest for Jeff. We've talked about this scenario to death on this forum and I don't think that's the way they're going to use Paget's character, but if it does turn out that way it will be utter bullshit and totally disingenuous!

I realize that Jeff's love for Annie hasn't been spelled out in so many words on the show and no other characters aside from Jeff himself even realize that this is the case.....presumably. But I don't know how Dan could introduce another love interest for Jeff and ever be taken seriously again by the fan base, even the non-shippers. Even if we don't get a J/A resolution this year (and I'm not saying I think this is the case) it should NOT be because of another woman. Talk about bad storytelling.

It seems to me that Frankie is being set up as Jeff's main antagonist, which was the original idea for Annie, prior to their discovery of the chemistry between the two. The chemistry between Joel and Alison is a rare thing. I don't see the same sort of chemistry between Joel and Paget.

So... Speculation/Theory/Spoiler?
Based on something I read on reddit, but expanded so I'm taking full credits for it!

After Basic Sandwich, Jeff gets more executive power over the school, because he saved it and the Dean's "grateful". Hence the copious amounts of alcohol (scotch?) everywhere. This then blows up in his face when the Ladders teacher starts drinking in class and falls off the ladder... (credit reddit: this could be the shows way of making a meta reference about the fact that they can do anything they want now).
This would then be the reason Frankie is brought in, to shape up the school. And that's why she butts heads with Jeff.
Sidebar: Anybody find it weird that Annie seemed totally okay with the Ladders teacher drinking in class?? Maybe that's just an editing trick though...

Also, could be from the same episode, the Frisbee roof collapse is the reason there are suddenly all these extra pillars around. Roof support.

All in all, I think they've shown us a lot of footage from 601 but not the big picture yet.

Hmmmm, interesting speculation. That seems like a lot to have happen in the first episode back, but it certainly could be the situation. I guess we will see.

That was the one thing that bothered me about the trailer. I find it hard to believe that Annie would be okay with the Greendale campus turning into a non-stop party. Then again, it was only one scene where she was laughing in the Intro to Ladders class, so maybe she was laughing about something else.

Plus, I honestly have a hard time believing that Annie wouldn't confront Jeff - even if their relationship is broken to the point where they're barely talking to each other outside of committee meetings - about abusing his executive power over the school if he started running it into the ground.
