If I've helped keep your love for this pairing alive, it's a mutual thing. I've been drifting away from them for a while, but I'll always come back to read your stories. You write some of the best fic, ever, for them.

As much as I love what this fic says about Shishido, I also love that it shows Ohtori is just as determined. The part where he vowed to get better control so he wouldn't hit Shishido made me very happy. You always give them both equal attention, and I thank you for that!

I also love that Ohtori didn't start out liking Shishido very much. There's something awesome about watching how his opinion of Shishido changes as Shishido himself changes. These two are pretty complicated characters, and it's so nice to see that reflected in your story. ^_^

I love them both equally, how can I not give them both equal attention? For characters who had fairly little screen time, they're amazingly complex. Konomi is very good at building many and varied characters who capture your attention despite not seeing all that much of them. And it gives us so much room to expand and explore, too.

In the 10.5 book Konomi mentions that Ohtori really doesn't think much of his seniors. I've always assumed that would have included Shishido, until they started working together.

Also, icon love. Like a brand new day, indeed. ^______^ I keep forgetting that you prefer Ohtori as seme, don't you? Next time I owe you something maybe I'll have to try that dynamic, see if I can make it work.

I asked sonkikyo to make that icon. I wanted "brand new day" on an icon with the boys. I think she did a wonderful job with it!

Actually, I think I like him better as the one being pursued, but as long as he and Shishido are together, I'm not going to complain either way. I'm so happy to have fic from you about them. Period. ^_____^

Man, I need to just steal all your SP icons. That, or go on an icon-making spree, but I've been so busy writing lately, and yours are all better than anything I could come up with, anyway. ;p

Oh goodness, it's been too long since I've read any of your ToriShishi! I've missed it! I'm so glad you wrote this. It's the good, hard tennis aspect of their relationship that really makes me love this pair -- they're teenage boys, each with his own motivation and determination to succeed, but they help each other out all the while. You bring that out nicely.

I swear, taking tennis lessons was the best thing I ever did for my tenipuri fic. I get so many compliments on the tennis parts of my stories now. ^_^

Wow, that was... magnificent. I can't even remember the last time I read a gen fic and actually enjoyed it - enjoyed it that much, too [Yes, I'm one of those "I need my buttsex" readers - I hardly read anything under R, I admit it].

*grins* I'm glad you read this one despite the non R+ rating, then. And I'm doubly glad you enjoyed it! Gen can be interesting to write because it gives you a chance to explore parts of the characters' relationship other than the romantic or sexual.

And in all honesty... they're only 13 or 14. I mean... yeah. >.< Stupid Konomi making them junior high kids. What was he thinking??

I know - gen tends to be better than most of the porn I run into. I just usually... look for the porn/romance first [there's porn fics with plot out there, you know. Some really good ones sometimes ^__^].

Heh, you're right there, but still. I feel bad about it when I think about their age, but it's not like they look 14. I try not to think about it too much and just enjoy when I come across something worth-reading [sadly, I can't think of one NC-17 ShishiTori fic I've read and went "wow, that was amazing", but I can certainly think of some great PG-13 ones
