[Fic] Got Your Back - FFVII, Zack/Cloud, 20/25

*mutters* This story is never actually going to end. It's going to just keeping adding chapters onto the end so that I'm never free of it. ARGH. This is now officially the longest fanfic I've ever written, and there's still at least five chapters to go

*grins* It just made sense to me that there would be a company like that. How else do you explain the team sent to Nibelheim being Sephiroth, a SOLDIER 1st Class, two no-rank troopers and a Turk?

I saw the absence of warning, and so I was sure something was going to stop them or what, but just when I was beginning to hope it was me who'd missed the warning, Zack goes and breaks Cloud's spine. *grumble* And I guess he doesn't have any healing materia on him, since they're on leave? Poor boys...they are doomed. Doomed, I say. Then again, that's one of the things that makes it all so interesting! You have us all just hanging there on so many levels, it's awsome.

And Cloud's transfer is a nice touch. I mean, he's not such a loser even if he didn't make it in SOLDIER, and it explains a bit why he'd be picked for the Nibelheim mission. There must be more than one trooper born there, and if he's such a loser, why be picked when there's only two troopers accompanying Zack and Seph? You go Cloud!^_^

Oh lordy... Those two are hexed. Well, at least concussions and broken bones are easier to fabricate explanations for than various odds and ends caught in vaccuum cleaners and the like.
