Shiny

I learned how to cook at a very early age.  My parents were big on self-reliance. Moreover, Mom often worked evening/night shifts and Dad only knew how to cook with the temperature up on "high." So I cooked quite a bit in order to avoid eating heavily burnt food.  At some point as an adult, however, I got tired of making meals for one and my income ( Read more... )

*covet the shiny*

I find it amusing that you talk about trying the new pots and pans and then immediately cut to a photo with hot men. Subliminal reinforcement? I don't know which I'm drooling over more. Are those Calphalon?

lol. The pots and pans are Cuisinart, their multi-ply, which is effectively the same thing as All-Clad but with more comfortable handles.

Good for you for defeating the cranky teams! I'm sure that felt really good! :)

It did feel good. Their team captain came up to me after the games to basically say "if we had our whole team here today it would have been a different story" and I couldn't help but think "uh huh."

I've rarely played volleyball, but I do enjoy it. Sounds like you're going to take a jump in the rankings!

As to your pots and pans, I would enjoy them just looking at them, as I rarely cook.

Stainless steel is a lot more fussy for sure, but the way it evenly heats and sears makes it a must for certain types of food. The insides are going to stop being shiny very soon, but the set should last a good 15 years if I treat it right.

I'm sure you'll treat stainless steel like it's supposed to be treated! :0

LOL... it always makes me laugh that there seem to be certain words "pre-programmed" in to my fingers when typing. Some inconsequential such as when I constantly type my old computer system (CPJ) instead of one of our community meetings (CPG). Sometimes tho... anything that starts with co becomes cock, be becomes bear, and various other potentially embarrassing typos that I need to watch for carefully. Typing muscle memory is weird hahaha
