once upon a time i was an artist. then i became a musician. i stopped drawing at some point during high school. i stumbled across this meme for people to draw batgirl. and after it all became too much to withstand, i gave in and here... here i gave in and grabbed a piece of paper and sketched some stuff super quick. results: so so.

i've been listening to the live cd from antibalas' first set non-stop since i got off the boat. and michael franti changed my life. bassnectar was frigging incredible, especially vs. kang. digable planets were amazing and they were found all over the boat playing with lots of different people (their dj doing multiple sets with similak chyld, bassist/drummer in different jam rooms).. and i completely missed boom bip/diplo, as their sets were cancelled cos of rain.

such is the hazards of playing music in the middle of the caribbean, i guess.
