The only DC titles I get at the moment are the Green Lantern family and oddly enough Flashpoint but then again I am a sucker for alternate universe tales.

I'm both excited and pissed off. It's really enticing to see a "clean slate" for these characters and hope that it sticks. It's ballsy and could lead to great stories. JLA doesn't seem fun anymore and hasn't really interested me since Mark Waid's run. With a reboot that isn't an alternate reality, but has the carefree instensity of one...that makes me want to jump on board.

But at the same time I'm shaking my head in irritation. DC has rebooted so many times now and none of it has stuck for more than a year ever since the first Crisis. Why should I care if all these changes will be wiped out in six months, returning to iconic costumes and histories?

Remember when Dan Didio said that we weren't getting another Crisis story after the last one? This has all the earmarks of a Crisis, but it just isn't called one.

My first reaction to this news was to flip my lid. But in the end, a cooler head prevailed. I never posted my pull list on here, frankly, because I was embarrassed about the size of it, all at full price at my LCS. I get a gosh-darn ton of books.

While I maybe only get 13 ongoing DC titles (*excluding* Flashpoint and its tie-ins), I'm probably going to "drop" them all at my LCS and go with online subscription for those and all future series I plan on getting from DC post-reboot and then adding for Marvel starting in September. That way I can get them all still in print but cheaper, and I don't have to awkwardly explain it to the LCS guy.
