I start a two week vacation at 5 pm today, and was so looking forward to it, until....Simia lets me know that she was laid off. The company she was working for has been feeling a huge financial pinch lately and had to let her go. Since it is know that this guy is moving on, could it not have been dropped casually into the conversation with the boss that he was leaving, kind of "I wonder how BLANKS new job is going to be in September."

Under-hand maybe but he's screwing people over when he's got a job to go to.

That's just it, she didn't know this until after she left. Another co-worker told her. I told her to screw politeness, but she is a better person than I am.

We're just thinking of this as an opportunity for her to find a better job. Anything else just drives makes me angry.

Sorry to hear about Sim's job. If you're planning a staycation pop in... we are both unemployed for the summer! Of course since we are in receipt of EI benefits we will be actively job hunting daily! Lol.
