Interesting and crazy busy weekend!

I baptized Tate on Saturday!  He did such a good job as did Jessica with all of the preparations and parties, etc.  !   I, on the other hand, got all flustered and couldn't seem to do anything right.   I realized that I really missed my Dad right at those moments, and even said that.    Our Bishop is really nice and helped me out, but I needed my ( Read more... )

I was very impressed by Queenie's improvisation on the hymns! I loved chatting with her this weekend. She told me that she is sad that she can't cook dinner for Amy's family every week anymore. I agree that she seems very self conscious about her speech. It must be so hard to get old.

Did you hear that I sat close to your mom and sister on the plane? How weird is that! I got to give your mom a break and hold Griffin for the first (shorter) flight. He is such a happy baby. He slept through the second flight for her. Amy is lucky to have a mom to help her out like that.

Don't worry about getting the baptismal prayer a little mixed up. That is what witnesses are for! I still remember my dad practicing over and over before my baptism. They should post the prayer on the wall like they do for temple baptisms and the sacrament. ;)

p.s. Next time you talk to Amy tell her that Josh and I will babysit her boys anytime. I work about a minute and a half away from her house and miss being around my own nieces and nephews.

Well sounds like things went well this weekend. I'm so glad for you guys. Can't believe Tate is 8. Hey when Russell was baptizing Megan he got stuck because he was thinking of the baptismal prayer for the dead from the temple so he had to have some prompting as well. He said his mind just went totally blank, and that was the only one he could think of. Well I'm glad you got that special time with your grandma. She sounds wonderful.

I know you will miss your Gramma, but you were so kind to take her to Mark's house. You did a great job on Saturday!

What a wonderful family event!

I'm sure it must be really sad to lose all one's friends and relatives. I hope to make some young friends and develop good relations with younger relatives, but I'm afraid that that just may not be the same.
