Well since I was the only girl, I got nominated to be Daisy. But Daisy's a bad-ass. My favorite ep is the one where she competes in the rigged beauty pageant and has to put together an engine block in the dark.

Awww...and here I was hoping that Phil got to be Daisy. Although I have to admit, the thought of seeing him in a pair of tight cut-off jeans did cause me a certain amount of dread.

About 20 years ago, there was a car show here in town. Among other attractions was the original "show" General Lee. (The one they fancied up real purty-like and used for non-action interior shots, promo, etc., and didn't wreck up like they did all of the other ones ever made.)

I was sittin on a friend's front porch sippin a frosty beverage when all sudden-like I hear the distinctive "Dixie" horn and there goes the General driving by. Later that weekend I went to the car show and got to stick my head in the window of the General. Considering the Dukes obsession I'd had for a few years already at that point, it was essentially a religious experience.
