[Spending time as a mermaid was fun. Nami's an intelligent sort; when she suddenly becomes human again, she's close to shore. See? Planning! No drowning here.

...pity she didn't have the foresight to think through something else. At least her journal reappeared during the week.]

[Disgruntled and locked to the Straw Hats]
I'm human again. And at ( Read more... )

[Gasp.] Nami-san! You don't have any--?

[brb, rummaging through Nami's drawers. This is an emergency.]

[Vivi nods, following Nami out of the water and scanning the area for people or, you know, suspicious-looking bushes. So far, all clear.]

How was your time at sea?

A lot of fun! [Dressing at the speed of light here. Her sodden clothing lands in the sand (what she had, anyway), but she's already pulling on the drier clothes.] And profitable. I managed to talk the resident ship-owner out here into letting me borrow his boat to chart the coast.

A fisherman? [She's relaxing her guard a bit considering they seem to be the only ones here; besides, Nami is nearly all decent now anyway.]

At first I was surprised everyone was staying in a house in the village instead of on a ship, but I suppose they aren't easy to come by here.

Pirate, actually. Name of Captain Jack Sparrow. He built the ship with his own two hands. [Would they had Franky here D| Sliding on jeans with some relief.] He's also a lecherous jerk who had the good fortune to have me turn up on his lap when I came back to Luceti. Hasn't stopped joking about it since. [Him seeing her half-naked would be all she needed.]

So there are other pirates here as well. [She bends to pick up Nami's wet t-shirt and wrings it out.] Is he from the Grand Line too? [She's not familiar with the name, anyway, but that doesn't mean much, considering how rich in pirates the Grand Line is.]

No, he's from some other place. Called the Carribbean, I think. [She holds the bag out so Vivi can drop the T-shirt in.] He tends to accuse us of not being real pirates at every opportunity.

[She gives a small scoff, her reply suspiciously like a disgruntled mutter.] ...is that so. And just how large is his bounty?

[...okay, not exactly the most gracious way to answer that, but no one accuses her pirates of not being the real deal.]

[Bending now to pick up her discarded sandals and pulling them on, la la la]

[Snrk.] You know, I never thought to ask him. I think I will, next time he brings it up.

[Unimpressed Vivi is unimpressed.] I'll be interested in hearing the answer as well.

[Vivi nods. And they made it through with no peeping Toms: Mission Success! \o/] I'm sure everyone will be glad to see you back.

[And it'll be a relief for Vivi having another girl back at the house. Guys, she loves you, really, but much longer and she'd be starting to suffer from a slight Boy overdose. :| ]

I hope so. I've missed Sanji-kun's cooking.

[It's okay, Vivi. Nami will help you right that balance, and how.]

[She laughs as they begin to walk back toward the teleporter.] I can imagine. [Come to think of it...] What did you have to eat while you were out here?

[Bless you, Nami. Bless you.]

Fish, actually.

...a lot of fish. Though I did have a couple of meals with Jack.

[Oh. That makes sense.] I'm sure you're hungry for something different, then. I think there might be some leftovers from last night, if you'd like something right away.
