13. This week, in great detail.
I wish I had more pictures from the past week. It was seriously the best week ever. And seriously, the best birthday ever.
The first pic is of my friend Karina and it's all shaky because I was really tipsy when I took it. Karina, Olga and I went to my favorite sushi place in the city, May's Place Sushi last Sunday for sushi and sake. It was such a fun night. We ended up going for fries afterward and it was just a night of fun all around.
The second pic is of Karen, Ryan, Rabia, Jennie, Me, Karmen and Thomas. We all gathered at the Student Union Diner on Monday on campus for lunch and cupcakes to celebrate Rabia's and my birthday. These are all the great people I met during the student orientation thing I did this summer. A lot of people were missing because they either had meetings to go to or other school work to take care of. It was supposed to be an outdoor thing but it was pouring like crazy that day so it became an indoor thing.
Tuesday, Olga and the gang at work threw me a surprise birthday party after work. I know there are some photos of that somewhere, I just don't know where. That was really thoughtful of Olga because she planned the whole thing and I appreciated everyone being there. Plus, I got like tons of messages on Facebook wishing me a Happy Birthday which is always nice.
Friday, Vitaly bought me flowers and took me to dinner for of course, MORE SUSHI. Then we had snuggle times and went to Target where I bought a buttload of stuff. It was such a fantastic evening and he did everything perfectly. Only one thing went wrong, I hadn't been paid from my karate job in almost five weeks so I threatened to not come in the next day if I didn't get paid.
Saturday, I got paid, went to work. Went to dinner that night with Vitaly, Klaudia, Klaudia's man friend, Liz (my assistant supervisor from work), Liz's husband and Calvin and his gal pal dropped by for a while too. It was supposed to be more people but everyone bailed :( Still fun though. Vitaly and I went walking around St. Marx and then went to Queens and played pool. Awesome evening.
Sunday, did homework all day. Vitaly came over at night to do our homework together. It wasn't very productive because we ran into some people at McDonalds who had gone to a medieval Renaissance fair and laughed a lot about it.
Overall, it was a great week/birthday. MUCH better than last years. :D
