I really enjoy it being Erik who tells Charles he's not alone, and that other people know about him. And I love Erik trying to make Charles accept who he is.
The way you're writing this is absolutely wonderful. My heart hurts for Charles and what he's been through, how scared his is of himself. And your characters are just wonderfully fleshed out.
