Nah I don't think you go overboard with commas.
I was in the same situation recently; some people just write really long sentences, and it seems better to break them up than leave it rambling.
So yes I'm pro-commas :)

I'm not sure on the Jared/Jensen thing.I feel as if there are people who want to be contrary and therefore all "JARED AJHhksdhks!!1!! JENSEN ISN;T THAT GREAT BLAHBLAHBLAH." But...they're a PAIR, ya know? Whatever. I flail about whatever aspect of them is making me all aflutter that day.

I have not noticed excessive comma usage - but that must mean that when I read your fic, it just flows. Or that I like commas too.

while i agree, jared IMPROVES jensen two fold: i'm a self confessed jensen girl. really, really much so. to an extent that it's possibly pathetic. jared's a good looking fella but he doesn't move me, so to speak. he moves jensen, though, so i love him. so i thought maybe i was projecting and didn't notice that jensen had the bigger fan base. whatever. you're right. it doesn't matter. they're them.

aaargh the fic. i keep changing it and staying awake all night thinking about it. it's scary.

I never thought there was anything wrong with your comma-use. Like whoever it was said, some people don't use them as much for some reason, and it's nice to break a sentence up. I kind of look at it like everything written is someone speaking, and some people rush on with what they're saying while others pause more. I mean I guess I could've had commas in here after "as much", or "saying", but if I were talking and not typing I would not have paused, so.

No, you don't overuse commas. Your fic always flows well, and if you overused them, it would disrupt that, same as underusing them.

I don't think you overuse commas. Plus I tend to abuse hyphens in my writiing, so who am I to judge. You can just claim that it's part of your unique writing style. :*
