I said it should be public because your art should be available for those who wish to see it! And then you won't have to bother with people friending you just to see your art. What you can do if you're worried about underage eyes, if you haven't already, is set your journal to Adult Concepts so they at least have to say they're 18. Whether that appeases your conscience enough or not, I don't know. It's the internet; I personally don't have the strength to police it. :)

Yay masterlist!

Yeah, I actually agree.. people should be able to see it also without friending me. I'd be happy about them being interested.

I just.. IDK, I feel like I have my journal under control as long as everything's locked.. and I don't want all of my LJ friends to see it, either. Which is probably lame, but to me, pr0n arts are more private than thinky thoughts on life ;)

I'm not exactly "worried" about the underage visitors - the internet is a dirty, dirty place ;) Warnings have to suffice.

Thanks for the advice! \0/

No, that's not lame. I have different groups of friends on my flist and some I feel weird when it comes to posting some stuff. One can't always do a custom friends list for a major layout feature. I don't know; you could do a separate, related account for your fanworks, like a comm. Some people do that. Others might have simpler and better ideas.

Ok, that's a relief :)
I've been thinking about making a separate comm, but knowing myself, I don't care much for the hassle. It's not like I'm creating THAT much, and I know that some people's watch list is already too long and ..blergh. All that. I'll probably make it public, but date it out of line so it's being pushed to the back somewhat. (Or wait for others to say something smart too :))
Thanks!

If you don't want your metal music friends seeing your porny slash art, don't let them. Create a filter or something. If you like having all of your posts flocked, keep them locked. But however you do it and wherever you put it, for the love of all that is holy, please have a tag or link somewhere so that we can find all of your fic and art in one place.

It should sparkle, but there should be no eating of the eyes.

That is all.

Yeah, you're right. WHY AM I FRETTING
I have a filter already, and wasn't sure whether this post should be outside. But I have a public link to the fanart in my memories..that should suffice for outsiders, right?

A tag for only my HP friends, called "masterlist" - would that be fine for thee, oh mighty doctor of knowing stuff? :D

Thank yeee!

I don't know about the memories things. I almost never look at someone's memories unless they say so. Unless you don't really want people to find it, but you can say it was still out there if they were actually looking for it.

*nods* That will suffice.

Me neither, but I put the link in both my profile and my introduction post. *shrug* I guess it depends on the circumstances of friending. If I want to read someone's fic, I mostly check their profile for links, and if I'm interested in a person, I'll friend them from wherever. Since all my stuff is in communities anyway, I think that should work.

Phew! And thanks for the thoughts!

*FACEPALM* GLAD I'M THE ONLY ONE THAT PICKED FRIENDS ONLY. FUCK.

You know what? I'm not apologizing. I like "friends only" because it makes me feel privileged and want to laugh at other people that can't see it. Which, obviously, is not your goal. I just feel special when posts are friends only and I'm on the list ;)
*cough* Once again, not your goal. *dramatic sigh* I don't know, I just wanted to click the "I love you".

*sulk*

I'M GLAD YOU DID

Thing is, I actually share your elitist attitude ;) Which is why so far, 2 of my journal posts are public. I don't know what my goal is. That's why I made this poll ;) *is indecisive as they come* AND YOU ARE SPECIAL. And it's more than okay to just click "I love you". I love you too!

*blinks* Your PROFILE? I don't think I've ever even looked at anyone's profile before. Except to determine if I hated them or not xD
WHOOPS. Apparently I need to look there more often :P

(hahah, love your icon)

I always look at people's profile before I friend them. Say, if someone has "glitter", "fluffy bunnies" and "ewwww, top!Draco" in their interests, I'm not likely to friend them ;) On the other hand, I'm excited if people have extraordinary hobbies or opinions that have nothing to do with fandom.

I'm inclined to say it should be public, but it's easy for me to say. This is my HP fandon journal, and it is entirely disassociated from my 'Real Life' journal, and mostly disassociated from my 'Other Fandoms' journal. So. Up to you.

*completely fails to be helpful*

Haha- you're helpful! I didn't expect you guys to come up with, IDK, an "answer", just general input is nice :)) And it's great to have you around.

Thanks!
