Je m'étais toujours demandée comment Kirk avait pu gagner les fameuses Palmes d'Axanar dont on parle dans TOS. Magnifique explication !
Merci aussi à toi pour cette super histoire. Tu as tellement de talent!
Bon rétablissement et prends soin de toi !

I've always wanted to write a scene where Bones blows up at Pike, and it was very cathartic to write. I think he's wanted to do this for a while. Bones was never very good at restraining himself.
And yes! I remembered the Palm Leaf of the Axanar Peace Mission from TOS, and I wanted to see what I could do with it. It was never explained in canon, so... I begged to be explored.
Anyway, thank you! I'm recovering well, and there will be more story soon. :)

This was always one of my favourite parts of this fic. A worked up and I overly emotional Bones is always a beautiful thing and you do it so well!
Thank you thank you for posting this at the perfect time. And forgive any typos from posting on my phone!

I had a lot of fun writing Bones' little meltdown. It was a long time coming, and it felt cathartic to write.
Hopefully, I'll have more for you to read soon!

That kid sees everything, and I swear, someday, he’ll see something that nobody else sees, and he’ll try to warn them, but they won’t listen to him, and he won’t be able to pull a miracle out of his ass. Some arrogant, swaggering, over-confident bastard of a captain will brush him off, and everyone is going to die because of it! A ship, a city... who the fuck knows! I don’t know, but that’s what would happen!
I just love the thought of this echoing in the back of Pike's head when Jim shows up on the Enterprise with seemingly off-the-wall talk about Romulans attacking Vulcan and Starfleet walking into a trap. And maybe a little oh no, not again moment, although to be fair, Pike has had many, many moments like that with Jim!
(Edit: fixed my word choice to be less ableist. Sorry!)

And yeah, I like Brex's dynamic with Bones. Pike might be Jim's father figure, but Bones hasn't had a father figure since he helped his own father die. Not easy, to say the least. So... I wanted to give him this.
