I fail at Livejournal.

But I win at Dragon*Con!

And then I fail with con-crud.

So, I'm back from Dragon*Con, and as usual, it was awesome beyond belief. They said there were 5,000 MORE people this year than any year prior. The crowds were enormous, but the registration line was shockingly fast. They were right... the new registration system was ( Read more... )

I am planning to! I am making Doctor Who costumes (okay, those are also for CONvergence), including fem!Three, last-scene-in-Seeds-of-Doom Sarah Jane, and a pair of jeans embellished with the words "Church of Tom Baker," pretty much exclusively so I can make stupid jokes about the Church of Tom Baker holding meetings in my pants.

I still have Epic Plans (TM) for a Doctor Who-related costume... but it would require a U-haul. :/

Sounds like you had a blast. I so wanted to be there (I wanted to meet Wil Wheaton again *If only to pick on him about misspelling my real name 3 times in a row long ago* and of course see Misha Collins!)

One of these days things will fall right and I will be able to attend the Dragon-Con. Until then I will have to view it through my f-list reliving it. :) *hugs*

What a great experience! The only thing I know of to keep the con crud away is to go to bed early each night. Which is just not reasonable for most con goers.

I didn't go to bed early, but I didn't go to bed late either. I got between 6 and 7 hours of sleep pretty much every night. None of those classic three-hours-of-sleep-at-convention nights. This hit out of nowhere. I'm just glad I was healthy for con, even if the sensation of airways constricting now is highly unpleasant. The cold went from annoying to really bad just in the span of a couple of hours last night. *sigh* The price I pay for convention adventures.
