Thanks! I love language, it produces 99% of the funniest and most touching scenes in just about anything. (That, and catching someone in a shower.) Playing with it is just fun funny mcfunnersen. ;DDD

My image of how Gallifreyan sounds is based on the loops and swirls and circles that they use for Gallifreyan writing. I don't think it would be as musical a language as Elven but close. The Time Lords are(were) steeped in science so I think that would affect their language. A strange notion I know but there you are.

I loved your story. I do hope that Donna asks him to teach her more than just swear words.

No, not strange at all, it actually makes sense. I think even swirly loopy circular language would still sound pretty, though.

The scientific base, as you noted, would come out in their syntax and vocabulary, I think. I imagine that they have very precise words for very precise ideas and concepts. It's a concise, pretty language. Kind of like science, really. ;3

But it would have to be pretty. They give everything seriously heavy-handed names like the Mountains of Solace and Solitude on the Continent of Wild Endeavor. xDDD The only way you get away with nonsense like that is if it's gorgeous and fun to say out loud.

And thanks. I may write something else, if the idea strikes me.
