It's kinda weird to be saying a cool thing about you, since I met you first in person but I largely know you through your LJ posts and comments, but that's cool. I like that you're easy to get along with. I also like that in our D&D game you did a really hilarious job of playing your character. It actually takes a smart player to play a dumb character in an entertaining way.

Also, your LJ posts seem very balanced. You strike me as a guy who uses the internet, but who doesn't let the internet use him. That's a good thing to be.

One thing I've really come to appreciate about the Kast is that, of all my friends who live in other states, he is the most eminently accessible on a personal level. Whenever I want to catch up with him, I know I can give him a call or shoot him a Facebook message or chat over Gmail. We originally became friends over our shared interest in anime and RPGs and--let's be honest--dead dudes like Aristotle, but I think what keeps us in touch is that we both value stuff like honesty and truth and wit. Alec likes good things, and he tends to think seriously about the things that merit serious thought. And I like those things about him.
