Oh, it's simple. The people you're talking about aren't concerned about animals -- they just don't like eating baby animals because they're OMFGsokyooooot!

Been good. Spending my time mostly in DA's community. And a little in Scans_Daily.

As for the veal thing. I know a few vegetarians that clearly love animals and consume dairy.

The same goes for meat eaters. Many meat eaters do care for animals, albeit in superficial, innocent, naiive ways.

But I guess what I'm saying is that its about money. I am a firm believer that beliefs have to be backed up by consumer practices. I care for parrots and the rainforest, for example. I don't buy imported fruit, and cautioned my dad about buying south american beef or mohogany. People who say that the rainforest destruction is sad, but continue those buying practices are LIARS! Or so the indignant 5 year old in me tells me.

sadly in this day and age, evil and altruism are determined where money goes (or does not go).

That's probably just my opinion, anyway. People give me weird looks when I say this stuff out loud.
