While I procrastinate

At this very moment, I should be writing a grant. After all, it is one of the most extensive and it's due in 2 days. I'm such an idiot. And to think I was going to apply to grad school. Ha! Don't know how TQ, LL or Dr. B study. I'm open to any suggestions ladies...My latest discovery are ear plugs, which i am actually wearing right now, obviously

Oh, I empathize with you completely - I'm an awful procrastinator myself. I actually have 3 minor papers to write that I've been putting off...

believe me, i've tried to re-wire my programming and there hasn't been much improvement...i'm trying to study for my huge board exam coming up in january and according to some folks i should only need 2-3 weeks of ultra-intense study to prepare for it. but since i have a tendency to let myself get distracted and my mind to wander, i decided to start 2 months in advance and read just a few pgs/day. all in all i probably won't get very much done and i'll ultimately end up cramming the last, say, 18 chapters in...but then that's when i resort to the 10 cups of coffee per day (and the cigarettes). there is also something to be said about the fear factor, i think that's what ultimately gets my ass in gear. so i probably wouldn't advocate my own studying techniques for use by anyone else.

ear plugs have helped me though!
