On the Democratic side, I'm not really sure how to react because I honestly had no idea going in who might win. I thought Edwards might but it was a gut feeling not really based on anything. The big losers are everyone other than those three; not that Biden or Richardson were given much of a chance to win, but I'm sure they didn't do all that work

Even leaving aside his scientific and historical illiteracy, Huckabee's madly, insanely corrupt. As in, blatantly using gubernatorial funds and resources for personal purposes, and never meeting a bribe he wouldn't solicit with a smile.

The man's a televangelist, with everything that implies.

Don't forget his command of geography. But nonetheless, his rise is the most interesting aspect of the US presidential race so far. Robert Novak and his ilk are shitting bricks tonight...
