Mm, they say honor students have 10% stronger backs thanks to all the books they carry :P. And I for one started getting back aches when I started making and effort to "sit up straight". I realized I wasn't all that hunched after all.

My girlfriend-in-art-school has had a lot of issues with her wrists (working as a cake decorator for her mom doesn't help), and has resorted to arm braces when she sleeps and by day using what I call power bracelets - little magnets on an elastic string. I think they work partially placebo but mostly by the small tension the provide.

I'm not sure what help a doctor per se could offer, but aches like these seem very very common in the art world, so maybe ask around and see what fixes other ails? Or possibly even someone else with the same thing...

er, my instructor had the sacral pain, he had to get two vertebrae fused thanks to something happening to his disc. So not what I want to have to do.

The nerve thing, no one seems to know anything about it. It's bad because even without drawing, if I push right on the spot it really hurts. And only on the right side. :P We think maybe acupuncture.
