Sigh. Someone on ANN's forums nailed it.

I really think they're going overboard with this whole thing.
Thank god all those mangaka decided to oppose that weird no-children-in-questionable-situations bill thingy. That was just bizarre.
I just don't understand what they think this is going to help with. They aren't photos of real people, and it's not porn, and there's faaaaar worse stuff that anyone can find in about three seconds, for free.

All they're going to accomplish is to set a standard for what is and isn't acceptable, and the standard they're setting is ridiculous. Anyone that was planning on importing any H doujin with Liechtenstein in it any time soon had better be careful =/.

This is just slightly related, because Kinokuniya is kinda partnered with Uwajimaya, where I work, but anyway:

We have this ridiculous sake bottle & cups set that we can't sell for the life of us. Why? Because the design on it features art of naked geisha from the Edo period. Some of them feature men trying to kiss their naked nipples.

I have no idea why we still have that sake set in stock, it's so inappropriate and any kid could pick it up and be like "MOMMY WHAT IS THAT GUY DOING TO THAT LADY" XDDD
