Well, if the scan doesn't do it justice (which I could totally imagine, knowing how scans hatehatehate pencil work of all sorts), the original must be really marvellous!

I love the whole idea of this drawing, the quiet atmosphere of the library, Percy's relaxed pose and the way they look so comfortable in their common adoration of books (and each other).

And the colours, wow, the colours! They're exceptional.

It's not as bright and yellow and has more brownish tones - I changed the scan a bit, but I suppose we both know that scans will never be the same as the original work :)

I first wanted to draw them snogging or in bed, but I just couldn't wrap my min around the idea of Percy and Hermione being so very passionate...

It's funny that a year ago or so I was really afraid to use colour - I have used it a lot when I was younger and then I stopped and just worked with pencils - HP managed to cure me of my colour-phobia :)

I tried to overlay the blue with a lot of other colours so it isn't such a big contrast, but it still shines through :D

Really? I guess it comes from adding yellow everywhere :D The original isn't as bright, though. More subdued...
