Late this month, because late September / early October was taken up by a nasty stomach bug which floored both of us for almost a week. That was not fun. It will take a bit longer for my energy to be back to normal (that's been taking more time since I had mono), but at least my bodily functions are mostly back to normal and my brain's working

Yuck, stomach bugs. Really unpleasant in the extreme, and for both of you to have it at the same time is simply mean. Glad you're better now, and I will check out the book.

It was awful, I'm so glad that's behind us now. XD The only good thing is that it did give us some new comfort show to watch (we don't usually just browse what's on TV, except when we're ill, and this time we kept ending up on Discovery Channel where we watched, among other things, Find It, Fix It, Flog It, which has been loads of fun), so ... silver lining and all? XD

I read The Wishing Game by Meg Shaffer and really liked it, I'll have to read The Lost City as well! That sounds like such an interesting and well crafted idea.
