I used to love SYTYCD but I got bored with last year and the Australian one they changed the format so you didn't get the audition rounds which was my favourite part - they started out with a top 50 they were cutting down so it just felt way more manufactured.

Yeah I stopped watching last summer myself. They brought in a couple of new choreographers on the US version this year which has helped, and have been featuring groups periodically, some of which have been awesome.

::tackle hug:: great to see you! yay for the job! I kinda felt the same way with GotG; I guess I expected more with all the hype. Weird to say, but I enjoyed Edge of Tomorrow much more and I'm not a Tom Cruise fan.

And is that the novel you sent me ages ago? ::waves pom poms of encouragement so you'll complete it::

*bearhug* hey you! I haven't seen Edge of Tomorrow yet, but I heard good things.

This is probably a different novel than the unfinished bit I sent you? Which I don't even remember what it was now? Because I keep starting novels and getting about 50K into them and stopping? Because I suck. But this was written in the last year. I have tiny hopes!

OK surgery is just never fun, no matter what, but hopefully things are better now? And yes, being able to shower and do laundry whenever I feel like it is going to be HUUUUUGE. Hopefully I will have enough money saved to cover the rent and security deposit sometime next month. That will, I'm sure, be the week that summer finally arrives here and the temperatures are in the 100s, because that's how my luck works.

I have a couple of friends who have published books, although they were primarily non-fiction. I was going to appeal to them for some help, but I will probably not turn down any advice from any quarter at that point. I read up on self-publishing and especially for adult romance, it seems like a good way to get started and maybe get some name recognition going. We'll see. Draft must be finished first, dammit!

GROOOOOOOOOOOOOT.
