Hi, and welcome to the Canada Six Degrees (of Due South) Midsummer Santa Fic Exchange. I'm mergatrude, your mod this year (since brooklinegirl's been kind enough to hand over the keys), and I'm excited to see what wonderful stories and crazy ideas you'll come up with for our favourite characters and actors. How it works
You write about Canadian shows/movies that are NOT Due South, so it's all Canadians, all the time! What movies and shows are eligible? Any that star any of the following actors:

Peter Outerbridge

You can make between 3 and 5 story requests for movies/TV shows you would like written for you. At least two of your requests must include characters played by Paul Gross, Callum Keith Rennie or Hugh Dillon. (Remember, this is for anything OTHER than Due South.) Your Secret Santa will pick ONE of your requests.
You may request up to TWO crossovers, for example, Johnny Johansson (MLaaD)/Darren Nicholls (S&A).
Note that Canada RPS is treated as a separate "show". Request the pairing you want when you fill out the sign-up form, for example, Peter Outerbridge/Hugh Dillon on the set of ReGenesis.

How to sign up
To sign up, send an email to midsummerc6d@gmail.com, and I'll reply with the sign-up form. If you have any trouble with the form, there is a link in the email to an online version. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Rules
Deadline to enter is midnight, Monday, June 1st (Chicago time). Please make sure you have completed your sign-up form by then.
Stories must be 1000 words or longer.
It's a Secret Santa: this means that you are writing a gift for someone and MUST keep it secret until you post. But unlike Due South Seekrit Santa there's no reveal. You post the story yourself, in this comm.
I will send out writers' assignments by midnight, Friday, June 5th (Chicago time).
Stories are due: Friday, August 7th through Sunday, August 9th. You can post anytime that weekend, but not before. If you CANNOT finish your fic, you must let me know no later than July 31st, so I can get a pinch hitter for you.
When you post your fic, please include all your beta notes, your name, and the name of your recipient.
Other things
Please do your best to keep your requests short and sweet, follow the rules, and post your story on time.
Dear Santa letters: Please help your author by posting a Dear Santa letter on your LJ, if you want to give them more detail. Comment on this post with a link to your Dear Santa letter.
