If I ever go to Hawaii, I have got to try surfing! It looks fun, and I was always the type of kid who was more inclined to run towards the ocean than away from it (to the great destress of my ocean-phobic mother), so I think I'd have a great time.

If you do go surfing, wear a pair of those shoes that can get wet and are flexible (I'm spacing out on what they are called). The reason being is if you don't wear them, your feet will have a lot of scratch marks on them.
I'm probably going to make at least one day-trip up to Portland before I leave. I'll definitely send you a note when I do.
